Description
Company Where WavX cost figures come from
WavX cost figures come from one published cost model, in Indian rupees, that the three calculators on this site run on. An estimate is a base figure for the build type, plus a fixed amount per feature, times a few multipliers, shown as a range from 15% below to 25% above. It is WavX's own price model, not a market survey, and not a quote.

One model, stated as a model
Every WavX cost figure produced by a calculator comes from a single cost model. The app cost calculator , the software cost estimator and the AI cost calculator all read the same figures, and the price tables on the service pages are drawn from the same base figures. When a price changes, it changes in one place and every one of these moves with it.
The model is WavX's own planning prices, written down in one place. It is not survey data. It records no sample of projects, companies or invoices and no external dataset, so this page claims none.

How an estimate is calculated
Take the base figure for the build type.
Add the fixed amount for each feature selected.
Multiply by the multipliers that apply. Apps: platform and design level. Software: scale and design level. AI builds: data source.
The result is the subtotal. The range shown is the subtotal ×0.85 to the subtotal ×1.25.
The multipliers are:
Multiplier
Values
App platform
Cross-platform ×1.0; one native platform ×0.85; both native platforms ×1.6
Software scale
Small ×1.0; growing ×1.3; large or enterprise ×1.7
Design level
Standard ×1.0; custom UI/UX ×1.25; premium or branded ×1.5
AI data source
No custom data ×1.0; documents or a knowledge base ×1.25; live systems and APIs ×1.5
Each estimate carries a delivery band in weeks, chosen by the size of the subtotal. The bands in the shared cost model are the AI calculator's. The app and software calculators use their own.

Maintenance and three-year cost
Annual maintenance is modelled at 15–25% of the build cost. This is WavX's own stated band, published in the maintenance guide linked above.
Some cost guides include a three-year cost table. It is the build range plus two further years of maintenance at that band: the low total uses 15% of the low build figure, the high total 25% of the high one. Year one is treated as covered by the build.
Currency conversion
All figures are modelled in Indian rupees. Where the site shows a price in another currency, it is the same rupee figure converted for display. The rate is refreshed once a day, a fixed fallback table is used if it cannot be fetched, and the result is rounded so that it does not read as an exact price. Converted figures are labelled approximate.
Known limits
It is not a quote. A quote follows a consultation about your scope.
It is not a market average. It describes WavX's planning prices only.
It is simple arithmetic. Each feature adds the same amount whatever the project, and the multipliers are coarse. Real projects vary with integrations, data migration and how settled the requirements are.
It covers builds only. Hosting, third-party services, usage-based AI costs and taxes are not in it.
It does not cover every service. The model has figures for app, software and AI builds only. Other work is quoted after scoping.
The timeline bands differ between calculators, as the table above shows.
Blog cost guides state their own ranges for the specific product they discuss. Those are not outputs of this model.
Figures on this page were checked against the model on 2 October 2026. Other WavX data pages are listed under research .
Frequently asked questions
Are these figures based on a market survey?
No. The model is WavX's own set of planning prices. It records no sample, survey or external dataset behind the figures, so no sample size is claimed. It tells you what WavX's model produces for a given shape of project, not what the Indian market charges on average.
Can I cite a WavX cost figure?
Yes, as a planning range from the WavX cost model, with the date you read it and a link to the calculator or page it came from. Do not present it as a quote or as a market average.
Why does a blog post show a different range from the calculator?
A cost guide about a specific product, such as an app modelled on a well-known one, states that guide's own range for that product. The calculators price a generic build from the model. Where a guide includes a three-year cost table, the maintenance and delivery figures in it come from this model.
How are prices converted to other currencies?
The model is in Indian rupees. Converted prices use an exchange rate refreshed daily, with a fixed fallback table if the rate cannot be fetched, and are rounded. They are labelled approximate, and quotes are built in rupees.
